Rimantas Stanevicius, MILK (Lithuania): “We need clients from abroad”

Before Balticbest, we ask from the agency leaders: WHAT’S UP? Rimantas Stanevicius from Lithuanian agency MILK said that they need clients from abroad.
“Before the pandemic things looked pretty good – we were about to hire more people. But then the pandemic happened…,” said Stanevicius.
“Anyway, we kept our head above the water. We are lucky to have diversified client portfolio –retail, telco, gas stations – and they cannot stop communicating,” he added.
Stanevicius said that they also work with several telco clients outside Lithuania, for example, with A1 in Belarus, Beeline in Central Asia and Motif in Yekaterinburg. “I think that home market is too small and we need clients from abroad,” he said.
According to Stanevicius, the recipe for winning international clients is simple: you develop reputation and connections first, and then it’s just pitching and winning. “We have focused on telco sector. Knowing how this business works really helps to win clients,” he revealed.
Stanevicius stated, that the main problem in the agency business is that Lithuanian market is too small, media fragmentation forces agencies to specialise. “Clients work with 6 different specialised agencies (twenty years ago they had 1-2), but the budget has not grown” he explained.
Balticbest, a marketing and advertising competition for small European countries, is now open for entries! The 7th edition of Balticbest is unlike the previous ones – Balticbest 2020 takes place ONLINE in the format of a LIVE SHOW.
