Meet the jury members of BalticBest 2024

The annual marketing and advertising competition BalticBest will take place on 28th of August in an online format. We are delighted to introduce you the jury members.

AGATA MALKOWSKA, Head of Department at “Press” Magazine (Poland)

Agata is a journalist dealing with media and advertising, for over 20 years, head of department at  Polish “Press” magazine.  Every year she is the author of the most important report on the Polish advertising market, “Panorama Reklamy”. Juror of advertising competitions, including Epica, PXNX Awards, Grand Video Award,  AD Wo/ Man of the Year, Hipnozis.

Speaker at industry conferences, including Golden Drum, leading many industry debates.

LINAS MIGONIS, Creative Director and Partner at Fabula Rud Pedersen Group (Lithuania)

Created ads for more than 50 brands in all kinds of industries: from sausages to lasers. Has more than 10 years of experience, previously worked for McCann Vilnius / TRUTH, Not Perfect Vilnius and TBWA Vilnius.

EGLE KLEKERE, Founder of the communication management agency Deep White (Latvia)

20 years in the industry, hundreds of campaigns, dozens of Baltic and European awards have made Egle a visible and influential figure in the Latvian PR industry. Deep White, founded by Egle, is a PR agency whose strength lies in combining PR strategies and public affairs with creative solutions. It has been awarded Baltic PR Agency of the Year for several years. Egle has worked on campaigns that have won Baltic Best, Baltic Communication Awards, European Excellence Awards, Golden Hammer, Adwards and Cannes Lions.

MARTTA KALLIO, Senior Creative Partner, United Imaginations (Finland)

For the past 13 years Martta has been building a creative career across various agencies in Finland. Her approach combines storytelling and concept development to drive positive societal change. She has collaborated with a variety of corporations and non-profits, infusing strategic, responsibility-oriented thinking and meticulous attention to detail into her projects. Her work has garnered acclaim both in domestic and global press from CNN to The Guardian, and awards competitions ranging from One Show and KIAF to Eurobest and UEFA Grow Awards.

With brands, Martta believes in balancing emotional resonance with pragmatic effectiveness, aiming for a sustainable future. She sees that the world-changing power of brands lie in their potential to create a human impact on an individual level, always ensuring cultural relevance for the brand and the idea. Martta believes that every interaction with the audience should be carefully crafted, highlighting the responsibility of creatives and the significance of brands in today’s society.

ANNUKKA PUTTONEN, Creative Director, Vapa Media (Finland)

Annukka Puttonen currently works as Creative Director and Executive Leadership team member at Helsinki based agency Vapa. She has almost

20 years of experience of working in strategic marketing, digital marketing and advertising agencies in Finland and abroad. Her work has been recognised and awarded in national and international competitions and she is part of the Cannes Lions Film category Shortlist Jury this year.

KERSTIN “KESSU” RAIDMA, Creative Director, Tabasco (Estonia)

After practicing a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, life had other plans for her. 19 years ago, she found her true calling in advertising as a creative, and as they say, the rest is history. Remarkably, she has dedicated 14 years to one agency – Tabasco. Their trophy cabinet? Overflowing with awards. When she’s not winning them, she enjoys rewarding others as a jury member. In her spare time, Kerstin dedicates herself to educating the next generation of advertising talents as an advertising and branding lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts.

ANNU TERHO, Creative Director, SEK PART OF GREY (Finland)

Annu Terho has + 18 years of experience as a creative copywriter at agencies like Havas Worldwide Helsinki and DDB Helsinki. Currently she is working as a CD at SEK, part of Grey, Finland. Her work has been nominated and awarded globally in many major awards such as Cannes Lions (Gold Lion 2014), Epica, New York Festivals, Golden Drum (Grand Prix 2013), D&AD, Sabre etc. Her jury duties include Cannes Lions Promo & Activation, New York Festivals, The One Club Awards Miami and multiple national awards in Finland.

Annu works actively on developing equality and diversity in the advertising industry in Finland.

JANIS KUPRAŠOVS, creative director at WKND (Latvia)

Almost 15 years ago, with little clue about advertising, he applied for a job as a copywriter. Now, he is one of the leading creative directors at WKND, the top local advertising agency and has worked with brands such as Virši, Live Riga, Latvijas Pasts, LIAA (The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia), Riga Airport, Neste and other major Latvian and international companies. With numerous awards in his pocket, including Gold at BalticBest, he believes that creative campaigns that don’t meet the client’s goals are just a waste of time and money. Aside from his creative duties, Jānis is a semi-pro beach volleyball player, urban gardener and an all-around nice guy.

VALTERS JONATS, partner, Head of Creative, McCann Riga (Latvia)

Creativity and advertising are Valters’ home turf, perfectly suited to his energetic persona.
May it be Cannes, Adwards or Golden Hammer —Valters has earned it all. Spending many years in the largest agencies of Latvia, he has racked up some very serious experience under his belt.

KEIU GROSSBERG, Designer at Velvet (Estonia)

Keiu is an Art Director at Velvet, Estonia’s most renowned design agency. She graduated from the media design program at the Pallas University of Applied Sciences and has firmly and brightly established her design talent on the map of the Estonian design universe. She has created brands for numerous companies both in Estonia and internationally, and has been nominated for the Best Young Graphic Designer title at the Estonian Design Awards.

DOMAS MIKŠYS, Partner at andstudio (Lithuania)

Domas is a Partner at andstudio for almost 8 years.

With a passion for visual culture, he works on a wide range of projects from branding and print design to illustration, icons, and more.

VADYM TKACKUK, Creative Director at Not Perfect (Estonia/Latvia)

Vadym is a very experienced Creative Director who has worked for Not Perfect in Riga and Tallinn for over 6 years. He has also worked for different agencies in Vietnam (Phibious), Ukraine (Banda) and Italy (McCann, M&C Saatchi). He has studied at Accademia di Comunicazione in Milan.
